Two issues can appear: non-aligned data and the need for cleaning
up the queue before proc_term.

An often occurring problem is that applications overrun the queue
because forget to wait on it. It is sometimes hard to debug such
issues. This way, in debug mode, should make it easier to fix
such issues.
